I'm going to try and get these pictures up tomorrow but I found a postcard from MGM when it opened showing a very vibrant Great Movie Ride exterior compared to a shot I took in August of 2000. And I thought Disneyland was the only place where they didn't paint. I'll have the two pics up ASAP tomorrow!

Besides the paint, or lack there of, i also think that the cement footprints are in pretty poor condition. They have cracks and are either really deep or barely ledgable. They need to work on that some how, but i am not sure how it would be done.

Here's the pics

There one on the left (obviously) is the one from an early 90's postcard. The one on the left is a shot I took in August of 2000. Maybe its changed, but I doubt it. And I don't think its the sun.

Ohh geez, It cant really be that bad, can it

And even better now that the mickey hat is up in front we'll see even more of a lack of caring about the Theater than before.

I'm sure its not as bad as the pics imply. The pic on the left is of an entirely different brightness. It does, however, look like there has been some wear.

I really love the the Great Movie Ride exterior. Its such a great building. I really hope the keep the Great Movie Ride, and I have not heard much about it being removed lately, which is good.:sohappy: :king:

I bet wdwblues would love to put up those pics:D

I also noticed this but there are many areas that have either faded or completely peeled away. Just look at most of Epcot Futureworld! I do think they have spent more time recently bringing the paint all over WDW back to its original shine but perhaps they let this go longer because of the hat that would cover it up anyway? I'm sure they also "touched" up the postcard a bit so that the colors looked more vibrant than they ever were. Very good observation though!
