child age?

Hi,

We are most likely going to Disney for my DD's birthday.

She will turn 10 whilst we are away.

Am I right in thinking Disney tickets are based on the age you are when you first arrive?

I know there is not alot in the price between child and adult but its the DDP i'm comfused on, she will eat hardly anything from the adult menu, can she still order a kids meal?

We went a few years ago when my other DD was younger and she was 3 whilst we were away and didn't have a ticket for her, not sure if this is the same?

If it were me, I would book as she is when she arrives-age 9 and she will get the kids pricing for the ticket and the kids dining plan. I'm pretty sure Disney does base it off of your age at arrival.

Age is based off of when you arrive. If she is 9 when you get there book the vacations as such. It is up to the discretion of the restaurant as to weather they will accept an adult credit for a child's meal but I have yet to hear of one refusing to do so.

No problem if your ten year old wants to eat of kids menu.If she is nine on arrival that's fine.trust me if your at a TS at say Jikos and your daughter wants to choose from kids there will be no problem.My son was 12 last year and we had no problem when he had children's menu at Le Cellier,Jikos,R&C,H.O.B. and RF.:wave:

Thanks for that, we will be booking with virgin and just priced age 9 and age 10 and it's about £200 more as a 10yo. Not sure if virgin require the age on return which will be 10??
Think I'll try to contact them and ask, knowing my luck it will be age on return!
At least it looks like she will be able to order off child menus, thats money in their pockets at the end of the day!

My DW and I are having a debate here,I think if your booking your trip and your daughter is nine on arrival,she's ok,and if she's ten on your vacation then your ok.My DW is now checking up on this.Good question,hope my Irish buddy Crush Dude sees this thread,he may have the answer.In the meantime I would phone Virgin.:wave:
