Any feedback on child activities centers? problems......the best....the worst....cleanliness....staff...etc..
I thought of using it just for a few hours so me and my husband could check out pleasure Island. I almost feel guilty just doing that, though...haha! Kids will be 6 & 8.

ohhh do i understand the guilt part........*sighs*

mine will be 6 by the time we get there....and she has never stayed with anyone that i did not know WELL....

there is a site....

www.wdwig.com

it has a great child care section...and its put my mind at ease about leaving my DD in the care of one of the child care facilities...ive chosen SImbas club (at the AKL if im not mistaken) and am actually starting to look forward to a night out.....and im sure by then she will be ready to look at someone else besides 2 grownups too.....

let me know what you decide to do....and how it goes :)

My wife and I sent our son (a clingy 4 at the time) to the Poly child care center (the name escapes me at the moment) and he had a complete blast! They had a good selection of late afternoon/evening activities. They fed him and showed him a movie (with all the other children, of course).

He loved the place. He didn't want to leave. We had a quiet evening. Although now that we have another infant (thanks, Disney!)....

About the guilt: we have a hard time finding an acceptable babysitter at home. During our first trip to Disney together, our son was < 1; we hired a babysitter from disney's babysitting partner. A little nerve-wracking at first; once we got to having fun (and a cell phone for periodic contact), we had no problems.

We have had only 1 borderline experience, and that was with babysitting, not with the child care center.

ohhh.... a Disney souvenir, like the commercial...huh?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm feeling better about trying it. Do you need to make reservations or ps for these centers? Do the hotel patrons that the centers are in get first dibs?

:) :) :)

i think that the name of the one at the Poly is Never Land CLub.... ive read nothing but good things about that facility.... we are leaning more toward the simba club....but i think thats just so we have an excuse to wander into the AKL  but they say its a bit smaller than the one at the Poly...

and as far as i can tell...you can make reservations at any of the child care places......i think you call the WDW-DINE and they can help you

as for little souveniers.....lets not jinx me okay? *grins*

enjoy your trip and Kungaloosh!!!
