Chef Mickey's question

A bunch of us are going to Disney in February. One of the families I'm going with has reservations at Chef Mickey's at 10:30 am. We are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort. What is the best way for them to get to Chef Mickey's from CBR? I'm thinking a bus to MK and then Monorail to Contemporary. If that would be the best way, what time do you think they'd need to catch a bus from CBR? OR....is there a better way for them to take?

If they aren't going to walk then make sure they know that there are two monorail lines from MK and only the one closest to the lagoon stops at the hotels the other one would just take them to the transportation center.

Would second walking, it is like a 10 minute walk, very easy, just walk towards it and you will find it.
Another option is to use an UBER or taxi.

This is their 1st time there. So not sure if they'll want to walk or not. They might get lost. Ha ha!!! Thanks for confirming.

I promise they wouldn't get lost if they walked from MK to the Contemporary, because it's a straight shot walk from the park to the hotel along a pathway.

Walking will most likely be faster, the buses will drop you off a distance from the monorail anyways, so you need to go forwards to go back. I'd second allowing at least an hour, and potentially even more. If MK opens at 9, there will be alot of people trying to get on the buses in the 9-9:30 range, so it may take a few buses. If they have park tickets for the day (either hoppers or going to MK after breakfast), no reason not to go to MK first, hit a ride or two and then go to the Contemporary. And heck, depending on how many days they have, it may be worth adding an extra day at the $10 just to crank out 2-3 rides at rope drop.

We are also in favor of walk from bus drop to Contemporary. Unlikely they will get lost as the path only leads to Contemporary and you can see the Contemporary in front of you as you walk. We would be less certain of Monorail as it can be more sporadic in its operation than your own two feet. We would also worry that crowding into MK may impede access to local (NOT express) monorail line (local is side closer to 7 seas lagoon)

Did this for breakfast last week. Bussed from AoA to MK then took the Monorail. We were pushing a stroller and didn't want to deal with navigating through Contempo with a hungry 19 month old. Monorail -> elevator down 1 floor and you're there.
