I'm staying at all star movie resort I was wondering how long it takes to get to chef mickeys. I have a reservation for 9:20, I'd like to be there about 10 minutes early when should I leave

In my opinion the fastest option for getting from the All Star Movies to the Contemporary is to drive yourself if you have a car while at WDW. If you don't I say the next best option is to take a Taxi.
If you are going to use the bus to the Magic Kingdom and either Resort Monorail or using the walkway to the Contemporary, my best advice is to leave an hour and a half before your ADR, to be on the safe side.

I didn't want to drive as we're planning on going to animal kingdom right after, which option would you take the bus or monorail

If you take the bus to the Magic Kingdom after getting off these are your options for getting to the Contemporary. 1st is using the walkway and the 2nd is taking the Resort Monorail. Personally I would use the walkway since the Magic Kingdom bus station is in close distance to it and it's technically a longer walk to the Resort Monorail station. The only thing that favours taking the Resort Monorail from the Magic Kingdom is that you get off on the 4th floor of the Contemporary and Chef Mickey's is right there.

The Contemporary is also the first stop when leaving the Magic Kingdom - you do not have to go around the whole resort loop.

To put things in prospective here is a picture of the Magic Kingdom and in it you will see the location of their bus station and exactly where the Contemporary is and why in my opinion it makes a lot more sense to use the walkway when going there.
