Just wanted to see how everyone’s holding up during this INSANE time. First the world goes to hell AND no Disney?! It’s rough out here! It just dawned on me that this will be the first holiday season that I haven’t been able to visit DL in a while, so I can only imagine how people who live close by feel.

Hope everyone’s holding up and staying strong. Here’s to the day we can all visit our happy place again!

Thanks 😂 I always go to DL with my cousins around Christmas and its one of the highlights of the year for me. They're young and just starting to become tall enough for the rides so it's always exciting being able to sit next to them on a new ride and see their reaction. Sad that won't happen this year but its just a part of life I guess.

Not sure if anyone remembers this ticket deal but back in Jan/Feb Disney was doing this ticket deal where SoCal residents could buy a 3 day ticket for super cheap and I found a website that said that tickets could be used on any day of the year. Planned to go with my friends and use it as sort of a pass when Avengers Campus opened. Used one day for a second ROTR but then the lockdown happened. I really can't wait to go back, but I'm more concerned with the people who are being affected by being laid off or being affected by Covid.

Hope everyone is doing alright!

Thanks for checking on us. A bit depressing here as we can't do much in Southern CA, even without Disneyland.

Debating on a Disney World trip as it stands.
I was supposed to head to WDW over the spring as a graduation gift. Since that didn’t happen, I’m headed there for the anniversary next year.

Thanks. Aside from the poor laid off CMs, I think most CA Disney fans are fine... those who haven’t lost a loved one to covid. We can live with no Disney. There are far, far more important issues to deal with right now, and endless entertainment options and alternatives. (Planet Coaster arrives on consoles Nov. 10th!!!)

Any CA resident who can’t go a year without paying $8 for a Mouse-shaped pretzel should examine what it is about Disney that brings them joy in the first place— Because things like imagination, family, music, art and great storytelling can be found everywhere, whether a theme park is open or not.

Thanks for checking in! I don't live near Disneyland, I'm in NorCal right outside Sacramento so it's about a 6 hour drive each way to Anaheim and I usually only visit once every year or two, but I genuinely miss all the discussion here on the forums about the parks. We talk about what news we can get but the decline in activity on the Disneyland section of the forums has been sad as I used to be able to spend hours catching up on threads and reading and interacting, but there's nothing we can really do. I feel bad for all of the CMs laid off, the entertainment CMs in WDW that all got laid off is insane to me. 2 of my close friends got laid off a few days ago and my heart breaks for them, I knew them since middle school / high school and they always talked about working for Disney and their dreams finally came true and now they're back to square one. There is so little to do anywhere, really, because of the restrictions for the state in general. It's been a very boring time, it feels like the beginning of all this was both a week ago and years ago, my perception of time has been destroyed by all the days blending together. Even though I won't be able to visit the parks when they do eventually reopen I am looking forward to (hopefully) an increase in activity on these forums as well as new things to discuss here relating to Disneyland. I love everyone here and enjoy any discussions we have but I miss discussing current events in the park. Stay safe, everyone!

Prior to the pandemic, I had already become detached from the parks and it was no longer a priority for me; the pandemic has made me feel more detached.

I still love Disneyland, but I'm personally unbothered by it being closed. What I want is to travel internationally again without the hoopla, but that won't happen anytime soon.

I hope everyone is staying safe!

We had a cruise on the northern part of Europe scheduled for October. Several days in Paris before and after but obviously couldn't go. Ended up going to Utah and hiking 42 miles over the course of 6 days in Bryce Canyon, Zion, Grand Canyon and through a slot pass.

That sounds like it would have been a fun trip. I haven’t been to France yet. I was supposed to return to England and Italy this year. :/

How was your Utah trip? All of the spots you hit have been on my list! Looking forward to seeing them all one day.
