Checking in for ADR meal

When arriving at your ADR and checking in, do you check in with just the reservation confirmation number? Or do you need the associated phone number (that was provided when making the ADR)?

I was just retrieving some of our dining reservations on the website, which asks for confirmation # and phone #. I wasn't able to find some at first (mostly reservations I made for my in-laws, who want to "do their own thing" occasionally). It occurred to me that I booked our immediate family reservations using my cell #, and booked in-laws reservations using our home # I think.

Would that present a problem when my in-laws go to check in for a meal, that they don't know an associated phone # also? Or will they only need the confirmation #?

Thanks for any info!!!

Most of the time I've never even been asked for a phone number or code confirmation. Your last name and party size are usually good enough. If u do get any problems pull up your reso on your phone email just incase!

Yeah- the only time I've ever needed my ADR confirm # was if they were having trouble finding the ADR in the system. Usually it's just name and party size and they can find it with that.

Never been asked for a phone number either. It is best, to print your ressies and take with you. Guest relations at any park, or at your resort can do this for you.

I always just give my last name and the time we're booked for. The one time they couldn't find our reservation [at Jiko], the hostess didn't even want to try finding it by reservation number [which I had], she just put us on a wait-list and we got a table about ten minutes after our booked time.

Great -- thanks for all the info!!

I do plan on taking our reservation #s with us. I have oooooodles of spreadsheets. LOL It's a bit complicated as some meals will have all ten of our party (and I booked those under my name/cell #). Some meals might just be us and my parents. Some are us, my parents, and my aunt and uncle. Just about any combination you can think of containing a family of four + three "grandparent" couples --- that's our ADRs. LOL

With my in-laws are doing their own meals a couple times -- and I was a little panicky last night that I could not pull up their ADRs on the dining website. Dining website search requires confirmation # plus phone number. And I suppose I can't remember which phone # I used for my in-laws ADRs. D'oh!!!

Simplest thing (to be totally safe) would probably be to call dining back, and give them my MIL's cell for my in-laws' specific reservations.

Thanks again for all the great info!!

This. This past September, we were never asked for anything beyond our last name and sometimes our resort. I do always carry every reservation number with me, just in case.
