hi is it worth it to check in online? Also I was hoping once I got there if it's possible to purchase water park ticket while checking in or later on from like guest relations? I didn't want to buy them ahead of time just on the off chance of the weather not being great and didn't want to get them the day of at the park.

We do online check-in each time, and it does save time.

Depends when you arrive. I usually check in super early or super late and like to go to the counter when I get there to make any last room requests, so it doesn't save me any time. If you're fine with whatever they assign you and want the chance of direct-to-room check-in, that could be a benefit.

We always check in on-line the week before, normally just as we are getting onto the property we get a text message letting us know our room is ready. All but once we had a room no later than 10am (the one time was 11:30 at Riverside)

I checked in online the last time we were there, and we blew though the process in a fraction of the time that others who didn't check in online. Plus for us, the online check in line was non-existent where as the traditional check in process was long

You need to put any room requests on your reservation prior to arrival. If you wait until you arrive, the chances of them being able to honor them are greatly reduced.

It is also worth noting that the king bed rooms at the All stars are the handicap accessible rooms and those needing them will get priority. They also max out at an occupancy of 2 so if your party size is greater than 2, they will not be able to put you in a king bed room.

Yea I knew about them being handicap accessible obviously they would go to those who need it which is understandable. I just wish they had more king sized rooms. We stayed at all star sports once and my husband and I were literally squished in the double bed and we are by no means Giants or anything .

I imagine the king sized bed rooms are on the ground floor, yes?

Why not do separate beds in that instance? Note that at moderates you can specifically book a "king bed" category, so you can have it guaranteed.

I suppose we could but that's kinda sad to be in seperate beds. But may be considered just because they are on the smaller end.
I would have loved to be at a moderate resort, just couldn't factor it into the budget, wanted more money to spend at the parks ect. Maybe one day!

Not always. The wife and I often got put in them when we traveled sans the kids without a request simply to free up a room that would sleep 4. There have been several times that we were on the top floor. I would assume that floor level is not all that relevant since every building has elevators.

Again, as it was explained to me, the demand for them at the values is just not there...at least not enough to be worth dropping the max occupancy of the resorts. The problem with a king bed room is you can only have 2 guests in it. Most of the guest that go to the values have families and they would rather have as much of the resort set up for that as possible. The have enough to keep up with the handicap demand/need and that is it.

The moderates are where you start to see couples without kids traveling making kind bed rooms (for an aditional fee) become financially attractive.

Sorry I read that too fast. I thought you said 2 infants and a crib.

It is a knee jerk reaction left over from my TA days from clients that would try to get away with multiple infants in a single room because they heard that they don't count against occupancy.

I checked in on-line for the first time in March and loved it. I was on the Magical Express when I got a text that my room was ready and it had my room number. So once I got of the ME I was able to just walk right to my room and go inside as I was already wearing my Magic Band.
