Check in question

We have two separate reservations for one trip, we will be checking in January 2nd, but not until after midnight, then the second reservation begins January 3rd which is for the rest of our trip. My question is how will our check in work? I did the online check in yesterday for both but we can't officially check into our second reservation til 3 pm on the 3rd. We will be at magic kingdom from 9 am until the park closes so would we just go check in when we get back from the parks that night? I have never planned a trip myself so I really don't know how it all works, especially how online check in works!

Are both ressies at the same resort? Even though official check in is 3, there's a very real chance that your second room will be ready in the morning. If you are going to a different resort, then you will have to have your luggage moved to the new room. It will have to be out of the first room by 11.

Did the same thing this past Sept. If you are staying at the same resort you will more than likely be in the same room. Just go to the check in desk early in the morning to change everything over to the second reservation. Online check in helps but you will still have to give some info when you check in, usually moves quickly. When you do the check in for the second reservation it should really go vey quick. Enjoy your trip.

Call Disney now and be sure the reservations are linked and ask to be put in the same room if your staying at the same resort. Then the next morning go check back in. More than likely you'll be in the same room.

I had a similar situation back in August. One promotion was ending and another was starting so they broke up my reservation into two so I got both promotions. Call them right away and tell them you want to remain in the same room. You can make that request as I did. Check in as you would for your first day. Then what they told me to do is go to the front desk on the day your second reservation begins before you go to the parks and they'll give you your new rooms keys, parking pass etc. I wanted to do it the night before, but they told me their system doesn't begin to process the day's check ins tip 6:00am. So anytime after 6:00 or before you go to the parks you can go get your new check in package and enjoy your day.

Awesome thats what I was hoping to do, we plan to head to the parks early and didn't want to worry about dealing with check in later that night. Thanks!
