Cheap! 1gb XD Cards :D

Well, I'm not selling.. lol.

However, I just obtained an Olympus Digital P&S to use underwater, so I needed to obtain an extra XD card, since I've never needed one prior to this.

Anywho, I found this auction, and it is really the cheapest I've ever seen a 1gb XD card

I've never gotten burned like that, but so far this guy has gotten all positive feedback.

Try www.newegg.com. I just got 2 1GB SD card there for only $21, that included shipping.

I fell for the eBay CompactFlash scam about 2 years ago. Grabbed a 2GB SanDisk Ultra II for something like $50 after shipping, a savings of like $60 back then. I was really excited. The seller had awesome feedback and everything. Then I got the card, and there was nothing Ultra II about it. Sure the packaging looked authenitc, even the manual and card itself. Then I put it in my camera and it was slower than my standard SanDisk card. So I did some research and it turned out that a month or so before I bought my card, people started to figure out they were fake. Too bad I didn't get the memo before that.

What they do is stick generic flash memory into counterfeit cases and everything. So you think you're getting SanDisk but you're not. You think it's Ultra II, but it's not. The reason there's so much good feedback is because it's all consumers like me, who were oblivious. I didn't leave the seller good feedback. I put a neutral feedback to avoid receiving negative feedback myself, but put "Buyer Beware: This product does work, but it is not genuine or as described!" ... Mine "came from NY", but the shipping was from the UK, where I'm sure it came from Hong Kong first.

So beware man. Mine still works to this day. Although it is slower, I still use it as it is 2GB. Whenever I need speed I use my B&H Photo purchased 2GB Ultra II.
