I'm looking to get some charms for a charm bracelet on my trip to the World in December. I'm looking for the types of charms that dangle from the bracelet, not the Italian charm bracelet links. I'm pretty sure Uptown Jewellers on Main Street carries them but does anyone else know of any good places to find them? Thanks

They have the inexpensive ones all over property. Some places that come to mind would be at the Emporium, Mouse Gears and WoD. If you have a car the best place to get these charms really cheep is at the Disney outlet on 535.

Yea Uptown has them, as well as World of Disney. I'm guessing most of the shops that sell jewlery have them. I got mine at Uptown. They are on a rotating stand in the area between the jewlery cases and the pin room.

Thanks. I'm not looking for really cheap or really expensive but I would like some really nice ones, even if I only buy a one or two each trip. I'll check out all the places that sell jewellery and will definitely look where you suggested at Uptown.

Master Yoda, thanks for the tip but we don't rent a car when we're there so won't be going off property and I'm not looking for really inexpensive ones.

I think the one of the castle I bought on my program last year was around $20. So not too bad by disney standards.

That's pretty good. Do you know what it was made of? Was it Sterling Silver? I can't wear anything that isn't made of silver or gold and I'm looking at getting a sterling silver bracelet.

MK - Uptown Jewelers
Epcot - Mouse Gear
DHS - Keystone Clothiers & Sunset Couture
DAK - Island Merchantile

Plus, most of the resorts sell the sterling charms as well.

I've found a few on Ebay at quite a bit cheaper than the parks.

I started collecting sterling charms on Ebay a few years ago. I've gotten some cool retro ones.

I'm pretty sure it was sterling silver. I don't remember since its been almost a year and its been tossed in my jewlery box to be put on my braclet.

You could also try the gift shops of the deluxe resorts. I recall seeing some sterling silver charms in one of the shops at the Contemporary, and I'm sure they would have some at the Grand Floridian, too. All an easy monorail ride from the MK!!:animwink:

Sterling

I have a really cute Tink and her wings move, only problem is she tarnishes. I always buy one (silver tone, not sterling) that I have engraved with dates of the trip when we get back home.

I have been buying the sterling charms from WDW for several years. We were there last week and it seemed like the selection is a bit smaller this time. I have managed to get several different charms each trip but only came home with one this trip. Most are the same ones from two years ago and many of the same from four years ago. I would have easily spent $100 or more if I had found anything new. If you don't have any yet, then you should find several goodies. All of the park stores listed are good ones to check. The Contemporary and GF have been successful stops for me in the past.

Good Luck! I hope you find what you are looking for.

Wow, thanks for the info. The bracelet I want to get comes with one charm on it (not a Disney one). So I would be looking at basically starting the bracelet from scratch. Since I don't have any from previous trips, the charms being the same as previous years shouldn't be too much of an issue for me.

The Tink one sounds cute too bad she tarnishes. Unfortunately I can't get anything that is just silver or gold toned as it tends to make my skin break out in a rash. Thanks for the tips.

We always make a point of hitting the monorail resort shops. In fact the big store at the Contemporary is one of our favourites stores to shop in. I'll be sure to check out the stores at the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian (we're having dinner there this year) when we do our Monorail resort run.

Anyone know if the Cruise Line has it's own line of Charms? I'll be cruising on the Wonder next year and would like to add one from there if possible.

I collect the sterling silver charms from the parks, they're about $12 to $25 and you can always find them on those revolving racks next to the earrings and other jewelry. I started out with a sterling silver bracelet that came with a plain Tink charm and added the rest. I've never asked about the prices of the nicer charms that they keep under the glass counters, I'd assume if the cheap ones are sterling than the nicer ones would be silver plate.
