I've read the book about 5 times, big fan of Roald Dahl, I also liked the movie, but the Oompa Loompas scare the crap out of me!

The castle scene was shot here in NY...Banneman's Castle on an island in the Hudson River, about 1/2 from where I live. Its in ruins now, though.
