Charge for 2 people showing up for an ADR for 4?

Will disney charge me if only 2 people show up for a reservation for 4? I may not know if the other 2 are able to make it until the day of

No they will not, as long as someone shows up for the reservation. We have booked for 4 in the past only to have plans change day-of and just told them at check in "We are 3 instead of 4."

Nope. I've made reservations for six where only one has shown up due to unforeseen circumstances. As long as someone from the party shows, they don't care about whether it's the full party or not.

And be aware that changing your seating number of guests might change the time youll wait for seating. Sometimes the CM hostess will use your larger table area for another set of guests waiting, or can seat your smaller group faster. Weve had it both ways when guests we were going to dine with dropped out.

This is really good hear. I have ADRs for 2 for dinner on Monday at Tony's Town Square, but there is a chance I'll be dining alone....

One exception to add to the above correct information: Dinner shows and venues where you pre-pay (like Cinderella's Royal Table) must be modified before the cancellation deadline.

As everyone stated, they only penalize if no one shows up - and it's $10 per person by the way. Last night I added a person to our party and just to be safe I called to put him on there with us, although I'm sure one more person (added to 5) wouldn't be a problem. We were able to keep all of our reservation times.
