Hey All....

I just got back from DW yesterday, and I must say the Characters act soooo good with the guests. Us being a group of 20 year olds, it was fun to see the characters' reaction, as well as our own. After taking a photo with Jessie (were 2 guys and 2 girls) Jessie grabbed me and my other guy friend, and made us take a picture with her.....without the girls. Quite funny.

Also......this story is quite funny (to me at least) and im really sorry if it will offend anyone. We were in line at the Festival Character greeting in Magic Kingdom. The Queen of Hearts was there. She is soooo funny, she acts so good towards the guests, and really seems and acts like a mean villan. Lol, as a joke......my friend went up to her before the picture, and whispered into here ear "I've always wanted to take a picture with a real B*itch" Lol.............i was on the flllllllloooooooor after she said that......the Queen reacted so goooood to my friends comment, but we never really understood if she was laughing inside or if she might have been a bit offended.....also if anyone else takes offense, sorry. Lol, but it was soooo funny, she ran over to Jafars area, and was trying to run away from my friend because she was motioning that she was crazy. Hehe, she ended up taking the piture but one of my friends had to stand in the middle of them. After we were leaving she looked at us.....and gave us the crazy gesture. It was reallllllly funny. It was funny how she is the one to intimitdate the other guests, yet was running away from my friend. Lol.....we took some good pictures of that.

Character performers generally have a good sense of humor and enjoy a little break from the monotony of autographs and pictures. As long as someone isn't being TOO obnoxious (pulling, kicking, grabbing, pinching, pushing, screaming, yelling) and it isn't taking too much time away from other guests, they are usually happy to play along.

I must agree that the Characters at WDW are great. Even if you compare them to the characters at the Universal parks. The Universal characters don't hold candle to the way the ones at WDW treat children.

I totally agree. My wife and I were at Islands of Adventure and the Grinch was taking his/her character a bit too far. He was throwing people's hats, refusing to take pictures, etc... It was funny at first, but after a while, we just wanted to get a picture and continue on. I think at WDW the villains are good about maintaining their character without going overboard. And the WDW Characters are REALLY great with children. They go out of their way to make sure they get to as many as they can and give them special attention. You will notice that sometimes they will sign an autograph with the kid's name in it WITHOUT the kid telling them. The kid is amazed--"how did you know my name?", but it was just a matter of the character listening as the parent said "Billy, go over and hug Goofy!" A little thing that goes a long way... :)

All characters are kick @$$ at WDW!!

But at Universal, there are only 2 characters that I thought were great: Lucy Ricardo from I Love Lucy, and Harry from Harry and the Hendersons. Actually make that 3, as Ricky Ricardo was great with Lucy!! Both Lucy and Ricky did the voices and actions PERFECTLY!!

Anyways, its good to see that there are at least a few characters at Universal that were at least good.

I like Harry too, but I also like Beetlejuice, Spider-Man and the Green Goblin. He was hiding around corners and scaring people as they went by when I was at IoA. Oh, and Doc Doom was good too, walking all regal-like and standing proudly in front of the FearFall.

And yeah, Disney characters are great. Louie and Baloo were always playing with me when I passed by them as a Custodial. And one day, I was as a Guest at the Studios, and I was browsing at that Villains Store. I wa just asking the CM if they had any Cruella merchandise, like shirts and stuff, when Cruella came in! The CM turned to her and said "he's looking for stuff with you in it", and she was like "I'm always telling people they need more of me in everything, but they never listen". I told her she was the best and she answered "Of course I am, Dahling!"

WDW characters crack me up though.

One time the Mad Hatter took my brothers hat and put it on Alice's head. It was funny, and all i gotta say is Alice should wear hats/caps more often!! LoL

I was walking around Universal wearing my Indy hat once, and Harry took it and ran away a whole BLOCK with it! I just stood there, stunned, and then he slowly came back with that shy way of his and only returned after we got a picture together.

I just remembered that, while i was at Universal during october of 99, Doc Brown from Back to The Future was walking around with a shrunken head hanging from a string on a pole scaring the ________ out of unsuspecting guests. I almost wet myself I was laughing so hard!!!
