Character Performer

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how many hours character performers work on average during non-peak and peak. Do they work more during the day? Or is it usually all day? Also, just what is the whole experience of working as a character like. I've been accepted, but I'm just trying to figure out whether I should do the program or not. If I do, I know my family was thinking of visiting me during the week of Thanksgiving, but I'm not sure if I should tell them not to if I'm not going to get the chance to really see them. Thanks!

It depends on your height and what shift you hav. There are anywhere from 4 hour calls to 8 hour calls of sometimes 10 hour days. It just depends. You can work anywhere from 32 to 40, or maybe more just depends.
