They are having audtions in Chicago this weekend. I was wondering what to expect and what to wear. What should I bring?

I am 5'7'' and I have figure skated (including coaching) for over 20 year so I can pick up steps fairly well. I have no formal dance training besides basic classes when I was younger.

Do I even have a chance?

Do they cast for DCL to?

Please help

these auditions are only for the world. Disneyland is a harder department to get into because there is less character jobs to go around. Wear something very comfortable that you can move in easily. I worn jeans, bad mistake. The trick is, even if you mess up the moves look like your having a good time and play it off like it's what suppose to happen. the dance is comprised of a full segment of the rutine a section with animation and then it repeats.

with animation think big and over exagerate. remeember you will be in a costume, small movments don't work. it's best to pretend you are a certain character. For puppets, if they are doing it. you may not be asked to participate, but i would ask. it's probably either goign to be James , Scott, Chris, or Kevin. just ask them and i'm sure they wouldn't mind.

and don't wory about parades yet. if you get trained it depends on your color coding and how you do at the parade training.

I was trained in the Disney stars and motor cars parade loop. (which is the rutine) I can only do characters in the vilans and character flood) I didn't pass. I however do do it occationaly as Bear which requires no parade training at all. The possibilties are endless.
