What is the best character meal (best bang for the buck) at Disneyland? Breakfast or dinner? And which characters are present? Also is the storytellers restaurant a character meal all day?

Best BANG for the buck, well that depends, are we talking BOYs or GIRLS? For Boys id say goofys kitchen for girls id say Ariels Disney princess celebration.
As for which characters are present, its ever changing, just know if that characters name is in the title they WILL be there, no other guarantees .
Story Tellers Cafe is buffet for breakfast ONLY. Goofys Kitchen is the only one that has B/L/D with the characters

I always thought Minnie's Breakfast at Plaza Inn was a pretty good bang for your buck. It's about 20 a person, lots of characters, all you can eat, and you're already inside DL. Which means a quick hop over to Star Tours(assuming your stomach can handle it lol)
Goofy's is always a good choice too, a bit more. I haven't done breakfast there in a very long time, but I'm not a fan of expensive breakfast.
