This one does not include the same ones as the other thread...consider asking mods to close both and start over. Sorry, I don't mean to sound like a "negative nancy" but it is a good discussion and people will bail on it if it is does not include all of the choices.

We've done pretty nearly everything...some multiple times. So, I'm just going to try and rank from those experiences :)

1. 1900 Park Fare breakfast
2. Crystal Palace breakfast
3. CRT breakfast
4. Garden Grill dinner
5. Akershus dinner
6. Chef Mickey's breakfast
7. H&V breakfast
8. Cape May breakfast
9. CRT lunch
10. Akershus lunch
11. Crystal Palace lunch
12. Crystal Palace dinner
13. Akershus breakfast
14. 1900 Park Fare dinner
15. 'Ohana breakfast
16. Tusker House breakfast
17. CRT dinner
18. Chef Mickey's dinner

So, we've never done Tusker lunch, H&V lunch, and Mickey's BBQ...and I guess if you also want to count Garden Grove. Also not sure if I'd qualify BOG dinner as a character meal- since Beast was greeting guests when we dined there- but it's not billed as a character meal...but I'd probably rank it around 5 or 6 if I were including it. Beyond that...I don't really look at either tea party (wonderland or princess) as character dining...same thing with Pirates and Pals cruise.

Something else to consider- I've seen experiences vary greatly with these things. Ex. there are people that rave about Tusker, but it was awful on every level the one time we tried it. I'm sure on a different day- it may have been great.

crystal palace has always been a favourite of ours!

We tied it last year for the first time and absolutely loved it. We're not really into characters but booked it mainly to get into the MK at 8am before it opened for everyone else to get some great photo opportunities if I'm honest. After we'd got our pictures (we entered the MK at around 7:45am) we were at the CP entrance for 8am when it opened. We were really impressed with the way the waitresses came out and announced your names to welcome you in and then took you to your table and explained how it all worked.

We were a little hesitant about how we'd feel when the characters approached our table as we're both in our forties and have no children. We thought it might be a bit embarrassing, like forced fun or something but found it quite the opposite. The characters were great when they arrived, Mrs M took some pictures of them with me which amused her greatly and then the characters friend persuaded her to allow them to take some pictures of both of us with them. All the characters friends were happy to do this too and all of them were great at reading when enough was enough without any awkward moments.

We also greatly ejoyed watching other families interact with the characters who were fantastic with the children, it was a joy to watch the kids faces and especially the little ones hugging them. There was a wonderful little boy near us called Johnathan who had quite severe learning difficulties and it was really quite magnificent seeing his face light up as the characters interacted with him. Mrs M and I were lucky enough to share a conversation with his family over breakfast and seeing this brave young man enjoying himself was really quite a priviledge.

We loved it so much we're revisiting it in September this year and I'd highly recommend it to anyone, and this is coming from a couple who don't consider themselves 'character fans' particularly.

:)

It's not bad food there is it. I loved the fact it was eat all you can at Disney which I'd never experienced before though as I said in another thread recently, they had the smallest plates I'd ever seen :D. Not to worry, like yourself I'm sure, I went up multiple times. Not got any cargo shorts myself, but I will have now before our next visit :).
