I've done my research, so I know there are a zillion of these threads out there. However, I have a question I cannot find an answer to.
They say under requirements to have "Authorization to work in the US"

Does this just mean a state issued work permit? (I live in Indiana, if that helps.)
If so, how can I obtain one? Since it's summer, I can't get one through the school office. And through the employer would ... be through Disney.

Thanks!

Authorization to work in the U.S. just means that they require you either be a citizen or have a valid visa, as in you can't be an illegal immigrant.

All it means is you (assumming you aren't an immigrant) just have to be able to provide them your social security card as proof that you're a citizen, a valid photo ID, etc. Or a copy of your work visa in the case of immigrants.

Are you under 18? It sounds like you're getting mixed up about work permits, is that what you're trying to find out?

Hm, I really don't know much about minor work permits because I never had my first job until I was 18. I know they're usually done through schools but considering so many kids get summer jobs I'm sure there's somewhere else like the county courthouse or something that does them.

I just saw on a labor law poster at work the other day that you can go to the board of education to get your work permit. They're open year round.

In NY if you are under the age of 17 you need "working papers" to get a job. MY little brother recieved the paperwork through his highschool.
