Character lineups at Disneyland's character meals

Does anyone know the character lineups for Disneyland Resort's character meals? Unlike WDW's character meals, which have specific lists of characters for each meal (in books such as the official and unofficial guides, and online in sites such as allearsnet.com), character lineups for Disneyland's character meals are rarely (if ever) listed anywhere. For example, Goofy's Kitchen is usually listed as "Goofy & friends", and Plaza Inn's character breakfast is almost always listed as "Princesses".

Here are the character meals I can think of now at Disneyland resort, to the best of my knowledge:

Goofy's Kitchen: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner (Disneyland Hotel)

Plaza Inn: Breakfast (Disneyland park)

Ariel's Grotto: Lunch, Dinner (Disney's California Adventure)

Storyteller's Cafe: Breakfast (Disney's Grand Californian Hotel)

PCH Grill: Breakfast (Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel)

Not sure if Disneyland Resort has character meals off property, such as the character meals at the Swan and Dolphin, Grosvenor, Wyndham Palace, and the Hilton near Walt Disney World.

There have been different ones the 2 times we went to GK. Those have included Goofy, Pluto, Chip n Dale, Tweedle-Dee and Dum, Alice, Mad Hatter, Alladin, Baloo and Donald. You might get a better response on the boards at www.mouseplanet.com.

Cheers.

There are far fewer character meals at the Disneyland resort than at WDW. They are:

Plaza Inn (Breakfast, Main Street)- Minnie & friends (this may include Pooh Tigger Eeyore Chip Dale Fairy Godmother and Captain Hook)

Ariel's Grotto (Lunch and Dinner, DCA's Paradise Pier)- Ariel and Friends (This may include Belle, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Mulan, Cinderella, or Mary Poppins [not al of them of course, normally about 4 or 5 princesses per meal])

PCH Grill (Breakfast, Paradise Pier Hotel)- Lilo and Stitch's Luaua (this may include Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Pluto [I've never actually attended this one, so it's more from who I remember seeing on their way there])

Storyteller's Cafe (Breakfast, Grand Californian)- Chip and Dale and friends (This may include Kenai, Koda, Terk, Brer Bear, Baloo)

Goofy's Kitchen (Breakfast, Brunch, Dinner, Disneyland Hotel)- Goofy and friends. This could include almost ANYBODY. Normally appearing are Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, Chip and Dale, and then anyone else could show up. On seperate occasions I've seen Alice, Mad Hatter, Baloo, Mulan, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Brer Bear, Terk, Timon, Rafiki, Aladdin, Jasmine, Jane, and any assortment of characters (Normally about 7 characters per meal on average).

The only "Meal" Mickey Mouse may appear at is the Plaza Inn birthdays during the afternoon, and as always no one is guaranteed. Normally it's Mickey and Minnie, but I have seen Pluto and Goofy show up instead.

As always, no characters are ever guaranteed and everything is scheduled, but things are capale of changing until the moment they happen.

7 is quite a lot of characters for a character meal! Do all 7 of them stop by the guests tables in the dining hall at Goofy's Kitchen, or do 1 or 2 of the appear like in the restaurant's lobby? When I was at Chef Mickey's last November, Donald was greeting guests near the buffet bars, while the other 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale) stopped by the guests tables in the dining hall.

It seems that Disneyland Resort's character meals are considerable more random in their character lineups than WDW's charater meals. Anyone else take notice of this before? :animwink:

Yes, Goofy's is set up sort of like Chef Mickey's in that one character may be in the photo location in front of the restaurant (aka, you don't HAVE to eat there to see any characters), usually it's Pluto or Minnie. THe others wander around the restaurant.

Another difference between Mickey's and Goofy's is the "Moments" that happen. At Mickey's, the "Celebration" is the napkin twirling thing *cough*lame*cough*. Goofy's has two different Moments: Trashin the Pots and Pans (as I like to call it) and the Macarena. They're just like they sound. The music gets louder in the restaurant every 45 minutes or so with these two moments alternating. The Macarena gathers all the kids near the buffet and gets them all to dance the Disney Macarena with the characters, while trashing the pots and Pans gives them pots and pans to bang on, with "Trashin' the Camp" from Tarzan playing.

And yes, they're much more random as far as lineups, but you get a little more for what you pay for, wouldn't you say? ;)
