I'm not sure about parking at the contemporary but are you staying at a resort on disney property? we did the chef mickey's breakfast in august when we stayed at Pop Century. We took the bus to MK, rode the monerail to Contemporary, then rode around 7 seas lagoon and caught a bus to DTD (it was our last day there :( )

If you are going to the parks that day, you could park in the main lot and take the monorail from the TTC.

With that early a seating, if you are worried about not getting there on time, you can tell the cm that you have a PS for Chef Mickey's. You will get a temporary parking card for your dashboard. It is good for 2 or 3 hours. After that you will have to move your car.

Enjoy !

We usually do the Chef Mickey breakfast. We get the dashboard parking pass and after, just drive around and park in the Magic Kingdom lot. We also stay off property. Just tell them at the gate (parking plaza) that you are driving over to the Contemprary for a Character breakfast and they'll wave you through. When you get to the Contemporary lot, they have an attendant there that has a list of PS families. He'll check off your name and give you a pass for your dashboard with a time on it. They'll give you 3 hours (or maybe it is 2 hrs) to enjoy your breakfast and the Contemporary. We haven't had any problems with an 8am seating. We find it a great way to start off the first day at WDW. Enjoy, you'll have a blast! :sohappy: :sohappy:

If you will be visiting the Magic Kingdom on that day, park your car in the Magic Kingdom lot, and take the Monorail over to the Contemporary, and then talk the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom.

If you will not be visiting the Magik Kingdom, then you can park in the Contemporary parking lot. They will issue you a 3hr parking pass, so after your meal, you will need to move your vehicle.

i know i'm going to get a lot of shame on you for this but if we are eating at chef mickeys and then going to the magic kingdom we just leave our car parked at the contemporary. we have never been ticketed by the mickey police and don't think they will ever do that.

They won't ticket you. They'll just tow you. And yes, I've personally seen it happen.

Just use the valet parking at the Contemporary. It only costs $6.00 plus tip!

the benefit is that its just a short walk from the contemporary to the magic kingdom rather than get back in your car then have to go park in the magic kingdom lot wait for a tram then wait for the boat and then have to do it again in reverse when you leave.

The downside is that now guests who spend $300 a night cannot find a space to park, because someone has decided to be lazy, and break the rules.

For me, that's part of going to the Magic Kingdom. Do you use the tunnels to get from one part of the Magic Kingdom to the other? Anyway, I'm not trying to give you a hard time for this. To each his own. I personally don't see the point.

sorry but that lot is never full and who says i don't pay just as much or more staying at the other delux hotels.
If that's the case, why don't you just hop on Invero's bus. It's free if your staying at a Disney Resort and I'm sure he'll get you where you need to go... :D

We were told about the three hour parking when we had 7:30 PS for Ohana's. We never got a permit saying anything about the time allowed to park so we could have stayed. We didn't but if they are going to have PSs that early then they need a better way for transportation since we pay a lot for it anyway and don't get to use it much.

when you are staying at disney using their transportation is half the fun. i'm not saying to drive and take the easy way out all the time, but in some instances it is easier like when its very early or late and say you have a baby.its much easier to walk to the contemporary and get in your car then have to wait with the crowds and go on the boat.and its not like i would do it everyday. only if i ate at the hotel would i do it.

But you said it anyway... I understand your point. I have 2 little ones as well and know there certainly has to be easier ways of doing things. Kudos to you for being bold enough to say you break the rules. :D So next time I'm at Chef Mickeys for breakfast, I'll be looking for a car that has it's parking pass expiration time partially hidden. I'll know your there....

Disney Transport can get you to ANY breakfast priority seating on time, contrary to what Dining might tell you. Buses start running as early as 6:30am, for those 7am character breakfasts.
