Changing Travel plans bc i got a PIN :)

hello all,
i recieved a pin in my email for 40% off the value resorts.. But there are only specific dates that it is available.. we will have to change our travel dates from April 29-May6 to May 31-June 7th..... this means the trip will be closer to my birthday

My first question is i know it will be hotter,but will the crowds be heavier??

Second..with the discount i estimate a savings of about $300... should we use the savings to get the ddp, or inquire about what the discount would be for a moderate..do you have any idea of what the discount would be? (you guys are making me fall for POFQ!!)

Also, we always go over Memorial Day weekend and have found that the MK is really busy until Tuesday but the other parks aren't bad at all. I don't mind the crowds that much because we always take the afternoons off and head to our room to sleep and swim.

Pins are sent out randomly. I got one in an email on Monday. At first I nearly wrote the email off, it wasn't until I really looked at it that I realized it was a pin code. We're now doing 2 trips next year.

Kasey, we booked the same week you're looking at and we got the dining plan. It was the same savings regardless of if you have the dining plan or not, you will pay more to have the dining plan added on but you will still be saving over $300 with the discount compared to the same package with dining without the pin.

My suggestion would be to contact Disney at the number provided in the email and ask them about discounts at POFQ if you're interested. You could also try sending JP von Drake a private message. We didn't bother. You may find the discount is actually less than 40% and the room rate is higher. We figured a week at the POP Century at 40% off was the better deal, especially since we're booked on a land and sea package for next December and we're staying at the Beach Club.

I havnt booked anything yet, so its not because they have my info through that. We have taken disney vacations before, once booked through disney and once through a travel agent.. The email i recieved was from Disney Destinations. Im assuming its somthing i signed up for through the disney website, i get monthly updates from them.

I as well got this pin and called to inquire last night. The cost for the value resort (with the discount) was $50, moderate $85 and cheapest deluxe (Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom) was $144. Now I picked the Nov/Dec dates so there may be a slight difference with your time.

Regardless it's an excellent deal! My husband and I are seriously considering POFQ as well. We've never been but have heard so many great things!

I highly recommend the DDP. We get it every time and LOVE IT!!!!

Thanks guys but im bummmed!!!
I just called disney and they wont let me use it because i guess it is in their system that the email was sent in my moms name, im assuming its because the last time we booked the room was under her name! So to use it i would have to have her travel with me so i guess thats not gunna work!
