Changing to preferred room when you get there?

We are leaving this Friday and I was just thinking about the fact that there will be just the 3 of us (me, daughter and mom) no husband this time. So I'm thinking we would feel safer if our room was real close to the bus stop. When we check in wil they let us upgrade to a preferred room and just pay the difference or will they charge a reservation change fee. Will they even let me do it? (assuming there is a room closer) We are staying at a value resort if that makes a difference.

If a preferred room is available they will let you upgrade to is for just the difference in room price.

Don't forget the earlier you check in the better your chance.

If you've made your decision, and you're sure that you really want a preferred room, it would be best to call the Reservation Center and make the change now. Otherwise, you might get skunked.

Usually when you change your reservation and the price increases they don't charge a fee.

I would call now and upgrade if that is what you really want.

As others have said, it is best to change now if you are sure you want to change. If you decide at check-in, they will only charge you the difference in room cost if the room is available when you get there.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I'm still not sure if I want to spend the extra money:shrug: So maybe I will just let the decision be made by weather or not they have a room available.
