Changing ressie and who can do it????

OK...we were hoping to stay @ Boardwalk for our trip in January. Our friends mother called DVC to make the ressie this morning and she was told Boardwalk was sold out!!!!

So...she went ahead and reserved us two studios @ OKW, her home resort and we have confirmation numbers. I have a couple questions for the all-knowing WDWMagic.com DVC experts...

One, we are going to keep calling in to see if people cancel so we can move our ressies over to Boardwalk (or maybe get a two-bedroom), can we do it since we have confirmation #'s in our names or does our friends mother, the actual owner, have to call in to do it?

Two, what are the chances of getting the reservation we want over the next six months or so in your experience?

If she made the res., she's the member. She can get on wait list for whatever location you want. You don't need to keep calling. If the "wait list" comes through, they'll book it and change the res.
