Changing AKL Room????

DH & I will be staying in AKL for 4 days prior to leaving for 3 days on the WONDER. I have been told by DCL that my room key at AKL is the same as my stateroom on the Wonder.....
Now my question is ON THE WHIM, I am not like totally thrilled with my room or I am looking at requesting Arusha Trail (if I did not get it upon check-in) and they had a room available, would I be told I could NOT change the room due to the fact the AKL Key also is my stateroom Key???
ANYONE KNOW THIS AT ALL??? I know this is THE strangest question probably all day but I just really need to know....:hammer: THANKS EVERYONE!!!

I would assume that if you switch rooms, they just re-encode the new room onto the key or the key to the room. Everything else would remain the same. Computers are pretty amazing these days...

Seriously, it shouldn't be a problem.

We changed rooms at POP once and we did need to get the new room keys. I dont know about the cruise with it though.

If for some reason you have to switch rooms that will all be taken care of before you ever get to the Wonder. Don't worry.
