Change in Friendship Boat Operations

BEFORE, only one boat ran from from Canada to Morocco to Germany and back to Canada. It was a 20 min trip. Mexico was closed


Two Frienship Boats will now be operating from 2pm until 7:30pm. One boat will run between Canada and Morocco, while a second boat will run between Mexico and Germany.

From 11-2 the old way will remain.

Good news, boats will come with greater frequency, and honestly 20 min is a long time to wait. When I was on it last, it was on boat from Mexico to Canada to Morocco. Really, Mexico to Canada? Is that really necessary?

how many of you ride this boats anyway? is this another dieing attraction?

It's not an attraction... it's transportation

guests realize that in the case of the friendship boats... but unfortunately not with AK

Yeah, I ride it. If we're really tired or want a change of pace, we'll take it to get to the back of the WS. But, if you're in a hurry, toughen up and walk--it's a lot quicker.

good point.....so do you think that it will remain in operation for a long time to come or is this going to be the next thing to go Seasonal?

I would have said yes last year, but if attendence #s keep rebounding, I think they are safe.

My significant other always drags me on those lame boats. However, I can understand how very young children and very old adults might be very impressed with the ride.:lol:

For people using the IG, the boats are pretty useless as transportation.

I was hoping that they would do the opposite route. Mexico to Morocco. and Canada to Germany.

If you are in FW (or just did the WS circle and ended at Mexico), are tired and want to leave, the boats do you no good. However, if the Mexico boat went to Morocco, it would save some steps.
