Change in Epcot Music?

A few threads back, I read some stuff on how in late 2001, the Epcot entrance music was changed. It now includes minor themes from the Future World pavillions and such. Is this true? Or do they still play the music from 2000 and 2001? On section was an overall theme for the entire park-VERY MOVING and the last section was two themes from Reflections of Earth. I think I downloaded this from the Digital Disney site. Can anyone clue me in please? Thanks!

That's right....I loved the old music.....It was a combo of:

Horizons (space section theme)
Spaceship Earth (Tomorrow's Child)
Tapestry of Nations
Illuminations 2000


It got changed and now plays a variety of songs I am not familiar with...One of them though is from JII

though i really like the old EPCOT music.

everychange in music epcot has had so far i enjoy.
they haven't let me down yet!!

anyone feel the same way?

it did change .....around august 2001 i think.......for 2000 it was mostly the millenium celebration and when they changed it they added more themes from attractions and shortened the celebrations themes

Yep, they have strayed away from the original compositions and they're now just making a short loop of attraction / parade music. It still sounds good, but it's not the same as the classic overture we all know and love.

I believe they've had two renditions of the new-style entrance music thus far. I have one of them on my site, and I haven't personally recorded the new one, although it can be downloaded from PopKid's site (see the digital media thread)
