I present an interesting challenge for the board:

  • Challenge: Create your own themed resort using elements of WDW

  • Materials: 1) 3 Attractions (or Pavilions) from each of the 4 parks
2) 1 Water Park (either BB or TL)

3) 3 Resorts (Deluxe, Moderate, Value, DVC, all acceptable)

4) 4 eateries from anywhere on property (the resorts you chose will keep theirs as well)
  • THE CATCH: The resort must make sense! All attractions and resorts must adhere to this theme. (e.g. space theme) :drevil:
Can't wait to see what everybody comes up with. After you think yours up be sure to post it, the more info and story the better, be creative!

I'm going to take some time to think on mine, but I just wanted to post the concept while the idea was fresh in my head.

Enjoy

ALSO!

  • Subtle changes and additions (physical/story-wise/etc) to attractions and resorts are acceptable as long as they don't tray too far from its original presentation and intentions

I am surprised Disney is not already capitalizing on this already. They transformed CBR to include Pirate Rooms.

Theme: Disney Fairies

As you enter the lobby, have a "queuing" area to shrink the family down to size for the resort.

Buildings: The buildings can be separated by Fairy skills: Tinkers, Light, Water, etc.

Decor: Very green, lots of over sized foliage and flowers, fiber optic lighting to simulate fairies working.

Pool: Very easily done and them it around Silvermist

Rooms: Bunk beds can be designed like sleeping in leaves, alarm clock can make their favorite fairy fly around the room to wake them up.

Girls will love the theme. What boy would not want to be surrounded by fairies the way they have been designed and portrayed? Outside of Mickey Mouse, Tinkerbell is one of the earliest anchors to WDW. I can't tell you how many times growing up I waited Sunday evenings to watch The Magical World of Disney. I saw the Apple Dumpling Gang, Pete's Dragon, and all the other movies multiple times. Every time, Tinkerbell was always there to start it off.

Ive always wanted too create a hotel that created the diverse atmosphere of the world showcase. I often though about how cool it would be to stay in a hotel set up much like the world showcase in epcot. It would be 1 hotel with 8 or 9 subcluster "towns" that would be themed after famous cites or places around the world. How awesome would it be to stay in a room that mimicked one of the rooms in the France pavilion. The countries and places should come from the same era and there could be a sort of trading bazar as the main building/lobby/restaurants.

The layout would utilize Walt's hub design with the trading bazar at the center and each subcluster or 'town' radiating from it. The distance between the towns and the center bazar should be walkable but im sure some sort of interesting alternative could be devised. The tagline would be "the magic does not need to end at the park exits"

of course all of this would be pretty redundant being that the world showcase already exists. oh well
