Anyone else notice how uncomfortable to chaise lounges at the BWV are? The bar welded across the back is not recessed far enough. It is impossible to sit with your back leaning against the support.

I think they mean the chaise lounges at the pool, which do have a curved bar across the center of the back support. If the mesh back isn't drawn tightly enough or if it stretches out over time, someone sitting in the chair could easily end up with the bar pressing against their back.

If it's an issue (and is widespread, and not just one stretched-out chair), OP, a comment to the front desk or an e-mail to the resort might be the best way to bring it to WDW's attention.

Ha! Just left BCV yesterday and we thought the same thing! That bar across the back is so uncomfortable.

😂😂 Ah, OK.

In the U.K. they’re more commonly known called deck chairs. I read it as chaise longue / lounge, as in a day bed.

Those would generally be called deck chairs in the US too -- this is actually the first time I've ever heard someone refer to them as a chaise lounge. Apparently in French the term refers to deck chairs too, though!

At least to me, chaise lounge is an older term, and conjures up images of a large, mostly flat, padded cushioned, pool chair, with wheels on one end,
