Celebration Hotel

Has anyone stayed at the Celebration Hotel? We are thinking of staying two extra days and Beach Club is not available and I was thinking of the Celebration Hotel. Any input?? It looks beautiful and they offer transportation to the parks. Our favorite restaurant (Columbia) is in Celebration so we thought it was a good option.

Thanks

Actually, I was wondering the same thing - I was also thinking of possibly staying at the Celebration Hotel for a few days but I haven't heard much about it.

While we're waiting for an answer, can you tell me about your favorite restaurant? I've never been to Columbia either, so let me know... I'm curious!

Thanks!

Columbia is the oldest Cuban Restaurant in Florida. The original is in Tampa. If you like Cuban/Spanish food, it is the best. A must is the champagne Sangria and the Cuban Cavier (Black bean dip). Lunch prices are pretty good and actually for dinner it is not really all that expensive. We also found that it is a nice diversion from the parks, when you want a quiet meal. It only takes about ten minutes from Disney property, you kind of go out the back of the property.

I stayed at the Celebration Hotel last Feb. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are decorated very nicely. Since it is a small hotel, the service was very good and the breakfast buffet was good too. I'm not positive, but I believe they have a shuttle to the parks. The town of Celebration is great too. They have some really nice places to eat, cute shops, and the walk around the lake is beautiful. I would stay there again.

I love Celebration!!!

I used to live there so I know the town very well.
Make sure to visit the coffee shope on Mainstreet; they have good coffee. Also, try to rent an electric powered GEM car from NEVrland Inc.

The hotel is nice but it is also very, very expersive!!!
It is about $250 a night at peak season.

Also, you can take the Lynx bus to the TTC from Celebration if you don't have a rental car.

I'm looking at a map and exit 25 in Hwy 192. Magic Kingdom is west and Celebration is east. I hope my map is right.
