Anybody out there live in Celebration? My mom is seriously thinking of moving there and I was wondering what its like to live there. Seems kinda like Pleasantville...the perfect little town.

I heard there are tons of strict regulations, like how you can decorate your home or landscape your home, what kind of garden you can/can`t have, noise levels all sorts of regulations! They even tell you what colors you can/can`t paint your home.

Celebration!

I was totally flabbergasted when I had found out that Disney actually put up a residential development. I mean, I have always said, since the first time that my eyes gazed upon WDW for the first time in 1989, I have always told people that I am such a Disney finatic that I would live in Disney World if I could. One day a couple of years ago my brother Darth Darrel called me up and told me that if I wanted to live in Disney that I could. I thought he was kidding then I saw a program on cable about it. Now that I have heard about it and talked with several people about it I am not sure if I could handle it. I mean, I shouldn't judge something until I have all of the facts, but, it just sounds like a person would have to be almost a saint to be able to survive in a place such as it is said to be like. I don't cause trouble or anything, but I do like to have parties once in a while and have company over to my place. It just sounds like they are too strict; if that is possible.

I don't if I could live there, but the people who do have no right to complain about the regulations there. Either they didnt take them seriously, or they didnt pay attention when they moved there.

The only exception would be if the homeowners association, or whoever makes the regulations keeps making new ones all the time, Hey kinda like the U.S. Congress.

It's ok, but everything is too perfect! But, I can't complain, it's close to WDW and it's better than staying at the Grand Floridian once a month! It saves us money.

So, you actually have a house there? Are the covenants as bad as some people say they are? Sounds to me like they aren't really any worse than a strict condominium complex.

Not really, near my home in California is a gated community, it's about the same thing as Celerbration.
If you move there, you can get a Segway.
Ya, I know. My dad ordered Segways from Amazon for the family!

hi

Hello Orange fan, it may be true that it is no worse than a strict Condominium Complex, I do not know. But it sounds like there even more rules, that govern how you have to live while there. I haven't really done any major research on it, just watched a Cable Documentary on the 'Celebration'.
