celebration/firework cruise

I have done the fireworks cruises on the pantoon boats 3 times in three years. They are lots of fun (if you have the cash). We have done the one for Illuminations at Epcot (which leaves from the Boardwalk resorts dock) and the one at MK once (which leaves from the Grand Floridian). The price is in the low one hundreds. Like 120-140. Sorry that I don't know the exact cost. They can be booked in 90 days advance and the Illuminations one seems to be the more popular of the two and can sell out fast. I'd say to call exactly 90 days ahead of the date you want to do it right when the Disney planning (407-WDW-PLAY) opens. They take a credit card, but don't charge you up front (at least they haven't on any of the times I've done it). The boat holds up to 8 people I believe and the price is the same whether you have 2 people or 8. I THINK it is 8. The most I've had on the boat is 4. Lots of fun. The Illuminations one is quite close to the fireworks. Its under the bridge where some people can stand, so its about the same distance away as other people. The smoke from the fireworks has blown our way both times, but still is my fav of the two. MK is ok, and the fireworks are a little further away, but still nice. I've also watched the fireworks from the top of the Contemporary at the restaurant. It was nice also to stand outside and see them from atop the building. That could be something to think about also if you are doing it as a romantic thing.
Before the fireworks, the driver will drive around the lake for a while and let everyone take in the sights. Its been very pleasant everytime.
There are also packages you can add on and they will bring food on the boat. Sandwiches, drinks, and chips is one levels. They also have cheeses and crackers and a desserts one and wine. They will cater the food on the boat. There is also a birthday package where they decorate the boat. All in all, its a great time and I think its fun. I'm in no way a travel agent so all the above info is just what I've experienced over the years. Hope it helps you!!!

Oh yeah, also there is the "Breathless" boat that is for the Illuminations fireworks also. There is only one of them and it costs a little more. Its more of a thrill thing. That boat can kick it into high gear and zips around the lake before you see the fireworks. Just some more info I thought of. :)

I believe for Illuminations. The boats are parked right by the bridge that goes form the UK to france. Always wanted to do it but... cant afford it

I have done the one for Epcot and it had the snack option. Our boat was called the Goofy Boat. When we did it they said they could not provide wine/beer but I could go to the gift shop and bring as much as I could bring. We are going to go on it again in December and I would recomend it to anyone as something you must do.

Any pic that shows the boat?

I found these pictures of the breathless and the pantoon boat. I've never posted picture links on here, so I'd think it would be ok since we aren't claiming them as our own. Hope these help.

As for the alcohol, the higher level package had some type of wine. We are "drinkers" so it never was of interest to us, but I know they have offered us taht package. Also, we have got Tuxedo Strawberries before. They are pricey, but Disney does great with them. White Chocolate and Dark Chocolate that they craft in detail to look like Tuxedos. Really neat!

I have a video but no pictures. The boat is a pontoon boat and the size depends on the size of your party. Our boat Captain was great and made the experience even better. The only thing was when they mor the boat with the others under the bridge between France and England it could get loud especially if they have a large party with kids but is still worth it. I was quoted a price for this year for the smae exact thing for $250.
