Ceiling fans gone from YC rooms?

In the pictures of refurbished YC rooms it looks like the ceiling fans may have been removed from the rooms. Can anyone confirm this?
We normally prefer staying at the YC, but between this and the lack of carpeting we may decide to stay at the BC for our next trip.

I can't answer your question, but I do know that PO-Riverside has ceiling fans (if YC doesn't work out for you). I had actually never seen fans before in a hotel room so that was a big plus for me.

I've only seen pictures, but haven't seen ceiling fans in any of them.

All newly refurbished deluxe rooms they have been taking the ceiling fans out. Some don't have them like Bay Lake that were built more recently and the older ones that have now been refurbished they have removed them. Most US hotels do not have them in more recent years either. It's a dying amenity not just at WDW.

And I'm with you I prefer carpeting in a hotel room where the beds are at least.

BCV had the ceiling fans removed as well. I love ceiling fans, but they really improved the air flow in the rooms. I didn't miss the fans at all in the end.

Thanks for the info! From the pics I've seen it appears that the BC hotel rooms still have the fans, is that correct? I know the GF rooms still have them but we were hoping to stay over by EPCOT. Looks like we'll have to go with the BC and just won't be able to watch the fireworks from our room (first world problems, I know)

I really wouldn't avoid just for that. Honestly I thought I'd hate being in BCV where they don't have them, and I really do think the air flow was even better in the room while we were there than before with ceiling fans. The thermostats were better than in the past too.

They have been removed from Poly as well.
