Cedar Fair reports decline in Q2

Cedar Fair has reported lower than expected attendance and earnings in the first half of 2009. For Q2 the parks only brought in $7.4 million, compared to the $14.7 million earned in the same quarter last year. Attendance has also dropped for the time period to 6.6 million from 7.6 million last year.

I spent 3 days at Cedar Point the weekend after the 4th of July. I was reading to expect 2-3 hour waits for some of the major coasters and the longest we had to wait was about 45-60 minutes for Maverick & Top Thrill Dragster
