Hello all!!

Is calling Disney and asking for a specific country for my reservation (already booked) as simple as it sounds?

We have a King bed room booked and I'm wondering if we can pick a country location within the resort to maximize our stay.

Thanks!

Yes, though they refer to them as "islands" or "villages" rather than "countries".

Just be aware of a few things: Trinidad South is all Pirate themed rooms, and I believe all of Trinidad North and half of Martinique is Preferred locations. But feel free to put in your request and I'm sure they'll do their best to accommodate you.

You can request a specific village on the phone, and you can also do it during online check-in about a week before your arrival date (10 days I think?). Last April, I requested a room in the Martinique section (standard room), so did my parents, and we both got what we wanted. You can also specify if you want to be close to the quiet pool, the food court, etc., although you may not get everything you want (still worth trying!).

We have always gotten the village we requested. We have gotten the requested building all but once and have even received a specifically requested room on one occasion. I should buffer that by saying we always do a preferred room which narrows things down a bit village wise.
