CBR and preferred room?

Which buildings are preferred? Any tips for request for room? I took advantage of the free dining offer and booked CBR. I was booked at POR-riverside but no free dining.

Martinique, Trinidad North have preferred rooms. Jamaica and Aruba have non-preferred rooms closeby over the bridge from Port Royale

Twice we got standard rooms in Aruba and Jamaica. Both are right by the footbridge to the food court and main pool (less than 5 minute walk). I see no need to ask for a Preferred room if you can get one of these areas (unless you want a pirate room).

each building has their own stop.

the nice thing about Jamaica is that its is closest to one of the entrance/exits for buses so you potentially could be first off.

I really want to be at POR but I know my husband won't go for it. My only chance for that if this offer doesn't open for the public.

I totally get it - You gotta do what you gotta do! I talk a big game but believe me if it were between not going and staying at the CBR guess where my a$$ would be staying????

I'd had to request a Preferred room for handicap issues, so hopefully they'll go with Martinique or Trinidad N, and stay close to the essentials--
How are the bus stops/atmosphere, compared to the secluded regular areas?
(And couldn't go for a Pirate room, since they're reportedly on the far Trinidad South fringe.)

Jamaica or Aruba close to the foot bridge. That seemed to work good for us.

We stayed there this past December & asked for a room close to the food court & they gave us a room in Trinidad North without an upcharge!

I have the same situation. I was booked at POR. I've stayed at Caribbean Beach before but it was back in 2005. I've read some recent reviews and it worries me a little. Has anyone stayed there recently? I did go ahead and book the preferred room.
