When was the last day Caribbean beach had guests, and when will the rehab be over? What are they all doing?

It's been closed since Sept. 8th, and is due to reopen around the Christmas Holidays (I myself haven't heard an exact date, maybe someone else knows).

They're rehabbing Ole Port Royale.

I hope it has a longer rehab. I stayed their in the summer of 2000 and it was crappy. The room was extremely old and I got ripped off. The carpet were old and the walls had cracks in them. I paid $150 for one night= equivalent at Publix ($150 for one night/ $5.50 per hour at Publix) I had to work 27 hours to pay for that stupid room. I will never stay their again.

I would rather stay at the Music. At least I know it clean.

That's weird, all the rooms have been rehabbed. I stayed there in 2000 and 2001 and everything was in great shape, both in Martinique and Jamaica. The only thing they're rehabbing this time is Ole Port Royale, not the rooms.

Yep I had a bad experience their.

I like Sports, Music, Movies , Coronado, Wilderness Lodge, Wilderness Lodge Villas, Yacht and Beach Club, Beach Club Villas, Old Key West, Port Orleans (Real Port Orleans and the Real Dixie Landing) , Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and “old Institute”


Almost forgot the Boardwalk.

Oh Wow the only resort I felt ripped of was the Caribbean.

I don't know if this helps, but I've gotten a reservation confirmation for early June 2003. Actually, I got my 'special trip planning info' today, and it was pretty slim. Hardly seemed worth the postage.

i actually heard that it was gonn aopen on the 16th of december. i love the cbr it is one of my favorite resorts besides the contemp and akl.

I agree with MobileBadBoy on this. I stayed there during the summer of this year and everything was great. I guess it all depends on the luck of the draw in which room you get (i.e. good shape or bad shape.)

They pushed the date up a week because the refurb is ahead of schedule. It will be open on the 21st.
