Castle Hub renovation question

I had read a few months back that the hub in front of the castle was going to be renovated early in the year for the new Cinderella show, I think it was called Cinderellabration or something. I emailed WDW when I heard to see if that meant the Cinderella Surprise Cellebration would not be happening durring the rehab and they said at this time there were no plans for anything.

I have been checking allearsnet.com to see if a rehab is scheduled and still nothing is listed. Does anyone know for sure what will happen? We are going at the end of January into the begining of February and it was my daughter's favorite thing in the parks and I am hoping it will still be on when we go.

If you know anything, please let me know.

Thanks,
Mike

That would be excellent. If you hear of anything could you please let me know?

I am so worried she will be sad if she can't see it. She is little (just turned 4) and she listens to the show recording all the time and sings and dances. I really hope it will be there when we go.

Thanks for your help,
Mike

how many times a day does the present show? just curious.

I think every couple of hours. We went early this year and saw it twice on most days.

I heard that Cinderella's Surprise Celebration would either be during the day, and limited showings, or it would stop completely until Cinderellabration closes. I am not sure which one, and I personally think the stopping the show will happen, but the limited showings could still happen. I know this is not what you want to hear, I am very sorry. I think that either way, she will be happy. I do think the Hub and Castle Enterance Area will go down for a MAJOR rehab just before opening night. And, I would look for late rehersals before the opening, so if you are staying in the area, you may be able to hear it. I remember that we were there for Grad. Nite and they sent a letter to each room explaining sound tests. and the like. I would not worry about it, I am sure she would like either show that is showing. We for sure get more news on the other things around ;WDW than this show, so I wonder as well. KEEP LOOKING FOWARD TO YOUR TRIP, YOU"LL HAVE A GREAT TIME, AND SHE WILL TOO, REGUARDLESS. imho. :D

I don't recall that there was a holiday version, other than the small banners along the side of the castle are used, instead of the large banner off the balcony, due to the christmas wreath.

I would not think the hub renovation would take too long.....unless they have to move utilities or something....it should go pretty fast.

Excellent, thanks.

Thanks all. That thread looks like we will be safe. I actually would love to see the new show and hope to the following year. I just was concerned about explaining to my daughter that it would not be there. I am sure she would get over it but at that young age sometimes they don't understand. She loves it so much and we loved watching her durring the show so we were hoping it would be there when we went.

Thanks again,
Mike

Did they decide to kill the trees yet that were removed for Wishes? (that were transplanted outside the park in hopes of returning some day)

Well, they took out the magnolia trees and put in two ... they look like Scotch Pine or Douglas Fir trees as well as a huge poincettia bush in each planter. Loosk better tahn the brown Magnolias....

Yeah...

I saw what was done for the holidays.

Just wondering if we were ever going to see a return of the "lush" Main St. and Hub again.
