Hey everyone just got back from the world and when we were going to pick up our Splash MT photo we got into talking to the cast memeber about me working there i have no idea how we got talking about it. but anyway i was talking about how i cant wait to do the CP, and she was like well you dont have to wait, Now im only 15 but turning 16 in May. She said that apparently i can work down there i guess these some other program out there where high skool kids can work there. is this true? also another thing she was talking about having a Sponsor i can live with, what does that mean? \

Any answers would be greatly appreciated

she might have been a little confused- I imagine that the high school program that she was talking about was CareerStart- which is for people that have just barely graduated high school.... as far as I know, only entertainment will hire people under 18, and 16 is that age requirement.... someone correct me if I am wrong though!

I'm with you on this one, I've never heard of such program except the CP and Career Start-however I'm still a little unclear of what it is. Don't you hate it when CM's tell you things that aren't right?

careerstart and the CP are very similar- only careerStart is geared for those straight out of high school, where for the CP you have to have a semester of college under your belt. Also, there are jobs offered on the CP that are not offered to CS. The purpose of Career Start (other than having cheap labor, of course :-) is to help people who just graduated and don't exactly know what they want to do with the rest of their lives- gives them a little bit of time to figure out school and work, while giving them real ...world work experience, which many highschoolers haven't had by that time. I think that CS also might be required to take certain classes, while it is optional on the CP (not positive on that one though). I saw a post underneath this one title Career Start so that might explain things a little better...

I don't know what she's talking about at all. Disney will hire highschool kids for any role, except those that require things like drivers license or liquor license etc, but by that I mean local highschool kids who already live down there, they don't have any program that I'm aware of that would provide highschool kids housing or anything. Disney starts hiring at 15.
