Casting before or after entertainment audition?

Is it best to go to casting to make sure I'm hire-able before or after I do an entertainment audition? I'm pretty sure I read on the website at some point that you should visit casting first but I'm not sure. How does that whole process work? Because if I go to casting before the audition I obviously don't know if I'm going to get hired or not so what exactly would the point be? I'm a little confused since when I was hired as entertainment the first time it was through the college program so it was a totally different process.

I would go to casting first. The way I understand it, if you pass your interview they would set you up for an audition and put you on a list for another position should you not make it through your audition. I haven't been through the process but I know someone who has. There are lots of knowledgable people here that will correct me if I'm wrong.
