Once again this celebration is really shaping up to be amazing. Tonight I had the chance to attend the CM preview for the Studios 100 YOM items and I was impressed. I started off by wandering under the giant icon for the celebration ..the hat! I played around with the very cool kiosks that have trivia and fun information and also quizes.. I could spend hours <as a disney geek> going through all of the questions and answers. They also have a small merchandise location under the hat as well. The 100 YOM logo merchandise was selling rather well.
Then I proceeded over to the animation courtyard to see "One Man's Dream" - Presented by Hallmark. This is the walking tour that takes you through the history of walt.. This also has LOTS of really cool artifacts and video clips and information.. Quite a few of the things I had never seen before. The models for the parks and attractions were especially amazing. The movie at the end is VERY touching, giving the history of Walt in his own words and also a great message from Michael E.
Now it's time for the parade!!! This was the "Disney Stars and Motor Cars" parade. This features various types of vehicles from the 30's-50's dressed up as .. well.. CharacterMobiles. Lot's of characters and the details on the vehicles are really cool!
This, along with the parade at the MK really show that this celebration is a class act that really shows folks about the history of Walt and the Company.
