OK, a bit old, but just came across it.

I could make jokes about Rebecca, but not in this thread.

Over the decades, I have had the pleasure of knowing many honorees who have earned these honors, a lot of hard work and effort is the only way to get one of these things, and I know more than one 50+ years of service CM's. some even still talk to me.

And this carries over to other places, and professions. To become a long time employee is something to be proud of.

And I have been fortunate enough to have had many of these hard working folks in my life. I salute every one of you/them.

Is that long time CM who I think is a cook still at DLR? There is a story that he worked when Walt was there. That would have been over 55 years ago.

If you are referring to Oscar Martinez, he retired in 2017.

Why does that article only feature two photos, both of which prominently feature Rebecca Campbell?

Seems ironic that an article talking about how Disneyland honors those with 10+ years at the resort most prominently features a lady with two months at the resort, and make the article/event read like a PR fluff piece for Campbell.

Though shall emphasis the positive, and ignore the many opportunities to make jokes about someone I have to play nice with in 2020....

No kidding.

In a giant party full of people who have worked at Disneyland for decades, and thus automatically have fascinating stories and insight and knowledge to talk about, the Millennial reporter and photographer focused on the smiling brand new exec who can't even tell you where the nearest bathroom is or what time the 3 o'clock parade starts.

And people wonder why journalism is dead. There's a hundred stories of normal people doing fascinating jobs sitting there right under their noses at this party, and instead they go for the elite executive angle. Idiots.

A 30 year merch cast member ain’t going to get that reporter comp tickets to future attraction openings and private parties.
