My girlfriend is a cast member over here at wdw! so that is one reason we are taking the trip because she is able to get us in through cast member entrance! my question A.) are the tickets using that park hopper and B.) we are staying at the disneyland hotel so with us using her main gate are we still able to take advantage of extra magic hours!? i hope so! i figured someone who is a cast member would know this information!

If your girlfriend is a CM, you can get in without tickets as long as you aren't blocked out during those days. All of August is free of blockout days. Only 3 days in Sept are, so you're good to go. You won't need to print out your complimentary tickets for this trip (the ones that act as a regular ticket, that can be used any day.)

I don't have any answers, but this isn't the first time I've seen a CM go to an online discussion board with questions about employee benefits.

Isn't there a department at Disney that handles this sort of stuff? A brochure or a company intranet site that has this information? Or a Human Resources info desk or point of contact that can get employees the answers on how to use their earned benefits?

Does Disney really just throw CM's out to the four winds and the whims of the Internetz to get these types of questions answered?

Mind you he mentioned his girlfriend is the CM, and he was asking the questions himself. In addition to that, not everybody has the best sense of direction for checking the HUB, asking HR, etc.

yeah i am not the cast member gf is, i am the one planning the trip and she is newer to the company so she does not know everything yet, all she knew is we could use main gate

There is an internal number to call with such questions, but it's not exactly in bold on the Hub
