Is this OK here???
My boyfriend and I were both CMs (I still am seasonal but he was in International Program member so obviously he left) and it was our LAST day in EPCOT together he was to leave the USA in I think it was two days' time at that point, and we picked to have dinner at the Octoberfest thingie in Germany because I always wanted to go there and I loooooooove sausages of all kinds so German food is a big hit around here XD Since it was our last week together he decided to sort of splurge and bvuy dinner on our very modest CM budget XD
At that restaurant we didn't know this before we went in but they seat you together with another family. I thought it was really wierd at first but the people ended up being very nice. I want to say they were from Kentucky or somewhere around there? In the south? And they had a reaaaaallllllllllllllllly cute baby. But to be honest we didn't talk to them too much and they didn't talk to us too much but we started some chitchat about their trip with them and when they asked us where we're from we naturally had to go into the explaination since I am from NY and he England we always have to explain after we say that- "Well actually we're cast members..." and we told them about it being our last week etc etc.
Well we didn't know until after it was all over but they paid for both of our meals!!!O_O :lol: Woah what nice people we could not believe it-it is in our nature to want to do something back but we didn't have anything useful with us like we sometimes do! And they were just like, oh no problem blah blah blah
What a surprise! Amazing. It sort of restored our faith in getting some of the magic back, too- not to spoil anything for anyone but I get more grief from people everyday than anything XD so to get something like this from a guest how incredible really!
It is an evening I will never forget.
I found out that they were eating at the Sci-Fi that Friday and tried to plan to give them a little surprise when they got there but! Ahhhh! I wasn't working that day and I actually would have come in on my day off but there were relatives visiting from NY that day specifically
so I never got to properly thank them like I wanted to. I even went to the Sci-Fi and worked with the manager going through all the reservations to find a party which had the same number of adults, baby they did but we didn't find any sure matches
Anyways so this is a "Guest Appreciation" but I thought it had the same idea of spreading the mgic but the opposite way
