Cashing In Disney Gift Cards

In the last year or two I have accumulated a rather large pile of Disney Store Gift Cards. I have multiple Treasure Planet, Sleeping Beauty, The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians II, The Jungle Book 2, Monsters, Inc, Lilo & Stitch and several other gift cards (47 total). They all add up to $470.00. I used to give these as presents to friends and relatives but with the impending sale or closure of TDS, I have decided to cash them in for Disney Dollars when I pick up my copies of Finding Nemo at TDS this Tuesday just to be on the safe side.

I got my Finding Nemo DVD's today and TDS was full of people. They had a line at the cash register that was 20 people deep all morning! All the people in line were not very happy when I got to the front.:lol: I cashed in those 47 gift cards for Disney Dollars and discovered that only $40.00 worth of gift cards are allowed to be used per transaction. So, the poor CM had to ring up 12 different transactions to cash out all my cards. I'm sure the folks behind me in line were not thinking happy thoughts. Oh well, I think I'll head down to WDW next week.
