I know you guys are sick and tired of hearing me obsess over the Body Wars volunteer so here's my other niché hyperfixation concerning WDW:

The cartoon starbursts at the end of Snow White's Adventures pre-1994.

For no reason whatsoever when I became obsessed with this ride in middle school (I compared two articles about it for media literacy class in eighth grade), the cartoon starbursts were my favourite part and they still are. I think it's because how they had an entire room dedicated to cartoon starbursts (rather than ending the ride after the witch killed you; as opposed to Mr. Toad having hell after the train, but even that had a "death" room in between the train and hell that I'm surprised I don't care about.) And the witch's cackle "bizarrely distorted and sped up" (did they use a record player or tape recorder to do that??)

Someone on YT when I was 13 said they went to WDW in 1976 and recalled the Snow White ride ended with the witch lighting the fuse on a room full of dynamite, then came the cartoon starbursts. I realize now this was probably a nightmare they had, but back then I thought that was funny as heck. It was only a given I'd grow to like Coyote & Road Runner cartoons because of my love of the cartoon starbursts.

Interesting to note: I was the one who added cartoon starbursts were in Space Ranger Spin. They're not the exact ones (more actionpunk/cybervillain-looking) however given SRS is a space-themed ride, you're bound to have cartoon starbursts in some form.

Do cartoon starbursts appear anywhere else?? If you look on the Bob Saget thread in the Chit Chat section, then you can see I've made cutouts of the classic Snow White ones and taped them to my door.

Not gonna lie, that'd make a pretty sick ringtone.

I discovered that pre-1984 Alice in Wonderland at DL had cartoon starbursts. There were also dust clouds and the word "BANG" in big letters. I doubt I'll find a video, but I thought it was only WDW Snow White that had classic cartoon starbursts! Whoo!

Cartoon starbursts fanart...

NGL, making cartoon starbursts in Photoshop helps get my mind off my mental health. Disney needs to bring back the starbursts. I know similar ones are in the Buzz Lightyear rides, but they're not as wacky as the Snow White ones. Who knows, maybe I'll make cartoon starbursts T-shirts...?

I gotta say, this topic utterly baffled me at first but I am now completely onboard. Cartoon starbursts are the future!
They're creepy and at the same time pretty. Every time I look at some of them, I get put on edge, and when someone tries to talk to me, I get jumpscared.

(Un)fortunately, the backwards POV of the ride from 1991 didn't have the starbursts visible. I doubt we'll ever know what the other starbursts look like...

Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin at Disneyland has some starbursts right after Roger gets zapped in the power plant.
Oh, the Knuckles the Echidna scene??

Edit: Watched it on YT. They're more Looney Tunes style starbursts than the wacky '70s shapes Snow White had. Maybe Alice pre-1984 had the Roger style starbursts?? It was from the '70s probs so it could've had the Snow White starbursts. Other than that, glad to see it's still alive somehow.
