Cars land alternative

Many Disney fans are expecting for a Carsland copy to be placed in DHS, but what if the land was based off the new Cars spin off Planes?

No way to tell what planes will do at the box office! Disney isn't one to plan a whole themed land to a movie that hasn't even come out yet!

They don't need carsland, they need an expansion of Pixar place! Add the monster coaster, add a cars dark ride, or even RSR, and also add an Up dark ride!

The park needs more than that done to it, but the parks needs more rides! I am patiently awaiting for Star Wars Land to be announced!

Funny I was thinking the same thing! Though I still think building a Monster Inc. area with the claimed "Door" coaster and relocation of M.I.L.F would be a great addition to DHS including a small Bugs Land for the kiddies to enjoy in the HISTK playground.

I would love to see this: Pixar expansion, Monsters Inc. takes the majority, a mini Planes land (even though its not Pixar) A bugs life attraction and then the art of Pixar Animation and bam a great DHS expansion.

A great DHS makeover would consist of;

Removal of beauty and the beast musical and put in the roger rabbit cartoonspin ride from DL.

Update of most scenes for The Great Movie Ride

Mickey Mouse dark ride to replace little mermaid show.

Expansion of Pixar place with a cars ride, monster inc door coaster, and an Up dark ride. Overlay HISTK playground with Bugs Life. Make a character dining restaraunt with toy story characters.

Remove pizza planet and use the space for a Muppets dark ride. Retheme mama melrose to muppet chefs restaurant.

Add to Lucas studios area. Add vekoma motorbike coaster traveling through Endor on speeder bikes (there is room for this where the parade float area backstage is over there), add a dark ride, using the new planes ride tech that was just patented and have the cars themed to xwings. Tear down the Indiana jones show and replace it with an Indiana jones themed water coaster, using the lake for this as well. Remove American idol and make a mos eisley cantina restaurant!

And most importantly remove the BAH!!!

IF IT'S NOT PIXAR IT DOES NOT GO INTO PIXAR PLACE

What I'd do to DHS...

Close the backlot tour and the stunt show, to make way for a Pixar Place expansion. The expansion will include a full Toy Story Playland, which will be built in what is now Animation Courtyard and Mickey Avenue (Toy Story Mania will obviously remain), then Honey I Shrunk the Audience will be replaced with It's Tough to Be a Bug, which will be replaced at AK by Festival of the Lion King. The Honey Shrunk the Kids playground will be re-themed to A Bug's Land.
Then Monstropolis will be built where the backlot tour entrance was. It will have a Monsters, Inc. building, which will include two attractions; Laugh Floor (moved from Tomorrowland), and Monsters, Inc. Door Chase Challenge (working title, but it is essentially the same as HP and the Forbidden Journey but through the door scene in MI), and then opposite will be another building with Harryhausen's, and also Ride and Go Seek like the one in Tokyo.
The rest of the old backlot tour will become Cars Land (I don't see a Planes Land attracting as many people), a replica of the one in LA.
And finally where the stunt show was, there will be an indoor building, which is themed around Finding Nemo. It will include Crush's Coaster, the Seas With Nemo and Friends, and Turtle Talk (the latter two moved from Epcot).

The next thing to do at DHS is to build the Galaxy of Star Wars land. This would take up the Streets of America, the current Star Tours ride, and the Indiana Jones show. The Indi show would be knocked down to built a giant replica of the Death Star, encompassing some sort of clever dark ride. Star Tours would remain, but the area around it would be expanded to make Endor, and then there would be three more planets; Taboo, Tatooine and Coruscant. Coruscant would include a Jedi Training Academy, and would make use of the huge backdrops in Streets of America to make amazing theming. Tatooine would have a pod racing ride, like in the episode one, and you'd also be able to visit Anakin's home.
Taboo would include some majestic buildings like in the film, as well as a submarine-style ride taking riders to the underwater city of Otoh Gunga.
As I said, the theming in these lands would have to be incredible for it to work, and with the Streets of America backdrops I think it is possible.

The final step is to re-name the park 'Disney's Adventure Kingdom'. :D

They could then expand the park to include a Marvel Land, or a Paradise Pier.

I think that Turtles point is that Planes! is not a Pixar film...

It is produced by Prana Animation Studios.

EDIT: which BTW just purchased Rhythm and Hues the Oscar winning company from Life Of Pi

How about this...
Close the park for a whole year so you can have some serious construction happen, get most of it done during that year, then finish it through the next couple of years while the park is open!

Here is what I think should be done if construction were to start in the Fall.

Fall 2013 - Streets of America and Backlot Tour closes for Oz land (dark ride and boat ride), Beauty and the Beast show closes down to become a new event stage, and preliminary work on Pixar Expansion (Monsters dark ride, store and Pizza Planet)

Spring 2014 - Oz construction continues + Animation Courtyard closes for full Pixar Place expansion (Incredibles EMV e-ticket, Ratatouille restaurant, Up spinner, Pixar store, mega meet-and-greet location like PFTH) + Indiana Jones Stunt Show Spectacular and American Idol Experience closes and begins to clear out

Summer 2014 - Oz construction continues + Pixar expansion continues + Star Wars Land construction begins

Summer 2015 - Lower Part of Streets of America and ABC Commissary is transformed into Muppet Courtyard

Fall 2015 - Toy Story Mania closes down for new queue installation (Dumbo style), event stage opens

Summer 2016 - Grand Opening

And to attempt to keep crowds rolling from Fall 2015 until Grand Opening (only open attractions will be Fantasmic!, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, The Great Movie Ride, and Rock 'n' Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith) temporary additions will include
- Screenings of movies in the new event stage
- Scavenger Hunts around the park
- In empty parking lot area behind RRNRC there would be a "Coming Soon" little temporary pavilion. This little temporary pavilion has little theaters inside tents with a TV and fold-out chairs that have short movies of what's coming to the park
- Many characters for meet and greets in the Fantasmic theater during the day
- Free Carnival Games (with theming) in the "Coming Soon" pavilion
- Temporary Movie Museum

I don't think as much needs to change as people suggest. DHS is a good park, one of the best in the US, it just has some identity issues. If we just replaced some of the more prominent issues then it would be fine.

I don't think Streets of America needs a replacement, just more to do in the area.

And I DO NOT want it to become "the park with pixar".

Like WED said Pixar should not be DHS center of attention. I think that with a bit restoring and expanding it could fix its identity problem.

I agree, but it does deserve a land devoted to the studio (2-3 attractions, 2 restaurants, 2 shops)
As long as it does not make the rest of the park look bad, you get what I mean? A good example would be a bugs land at DCA. Used to be a favorite for children and now Cars Land makes it feel a bit lousy.
