Carribean beach resort

Hello from the cold Northeast
I am planning a trip to WDW in Late April, and we are staying at the Carribean Beach Resort. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which village to request. We have two teens, and would like to be reasonably close to the food area and main pool, but also not in a high travel area. Also what is the best way to put in a request?

The Resort would tell you to stay in Martinique or Trinidad North in order to be closest to the foodcourt and main feature pool. They will also charge you an extra 10 bucks for this "preferred" location.

However I, and many others on this board, prefer staying across the lake in Aruba or Jamaica. They are literally the same distance than some fo the rooms in the "preferred" location, but offer much nicer vistas and a more pleasant walk. The walk includes two wooden bridges and crossing through a bamboo forest with lots of flowers and animals. It's a great area. And, again, only about 5 minutes from the main area, Old Port Royale. Also, being on this opposite side of the lake, you get the morning sunrises, and Caribbean Beach in the morning is beautiful.

We always stay in Aruba, lakefront on second floor. Any room from 5256 through 5261 are second story, non smoking, unobstructed views of the lake. We always request this, and always get it. (We are specific b/c one time our water view room was staring through palm fronds and over a thick garden--dissappointed--should be "garden view.")

We made a specific call to make sure that our reservation had our request, and then we called the Resort directly 4 days prior to our arrival. Everything has worked out fine, but Disney will never guarantee anything.

But dont worry, b/c every area of Caribbean Beach is beautiful. Especially at night too.

You'll have a great time, and so will your teens. This was the only place we stayed during my teenage years, and we were just there about a week ago.

If you ahve any other questions, just ask me. I know a lot about CBR b/c I like it there so much.

Have a great vacation.

Thank-you
We are really looking foward to this vacation. Aruba sounds like the exact area we are looking for. We are booked for a water view so I will submit my reuest. Thanks again, it is nice to communicate with someone who has been there.

I dont know your "specifics," but the closest and therefore most convenient Aruba buildings with water views are buildings 51 (smoking if you need it) and building 52 (nonsmoking--our personal favorite area).

Just call up and let them know. And it never hurts to request again at check in. We always do.

Have a great vacation, and enjoy the Resort.
