Carribean Beach Closing

Carribean Beach is closing the hotel for restaurant renovation.
The whole entire 2,000 room hotel is closing because of supposely one restaurant renovation.

Not only that.

But the poster felt they had to add a sny comment about the resturant, when it is THE ONLY resturant in the resort. ANd OPR is much more than just a resturant, since they are rehabing the enitre building. SitDown Resturant-Food Court and all.

They are doing this because the restaurant also handles room service for the resort. If the resort was to be open when the restaurant is closed, guests would have to go off-site for food and room service so it wouldn't be good business for them.

What they are rehabiing involves much more the ROOM SERVICE.

They are rehabiing the entire "Old Port Royal Marketplace" which effect not only room service, but the food court, the bar, the resturant, all of it.

I guess htye could have keep it open, and forced everyone to have to eat EVERY meal out of the resort. But they chose not to do that.

Haven't decided yet whether I agree with this or not. One thing though, I am glad I stayed at CB in July before they closed!

Also does anybody know what they will do with people that had existing reservations from before when they announced/decide this?

Check the other threads about this. Everyone that had reservations has told what they are doing/will do.
