Carousel of Progress Questions

Before our trips to WDW, we hold trivia contests for Disney Dollars. I am looking for a couple answers so I can have accurate information when the Carousel of Progress questions are posted.

What is the Father's name?
What is the Mother's name?
What is the son's name?

We know the dog is Rover and the visiting uncle is Orville and the daughter is Patty.

The fathers name is: John
The mothers name is: Sara
The daughters name is: Judy (original version her name was Jane)
The sons name is: Jimmy
The dogs name is: Rover

There is also Uncle Orville, grandma and Grandpa

I thought the dog's name changed from scene to scene? Did they change that? I remember in one scene he was Sport, and also Rover in another one. Am I losing my mind again?

nope you are not losing your mind.

You are very correct. The name on the opening scene is Rover and the dog is named differently throughout the show... might be because of time passing and the family getting a new dog???? not sure about that one?! anyway you are not losing your mind...

in the old version they changed the dog's name from scene to scene,the names were rover,sport,and queenie,i think they changed it when they changed the song and updated the final scene

The daughters name is Patricia (patty) not jane.

Also the dog's name doesn't change in this version of the show.

How many of you remember "Now is the Best Time of Your Life", the theme song the CoP had when it opened at WDW? I actually liked it better than "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow". I remember my grandmother thinking it was "peppy".

I have that song downloaded on my computer. I never experienced it when it was featured in the CoP, but I like the song...

I loved the old song. The first three times I visited WDW that was the song. Didn't get back for 6 years and they had changed it. Great big beautiful tomorrow is nice but I like "now is the time" better. I'm glad to know there are others out there who are of my opinion. My family all prefer the great big beautiful... and we are always arguing as to which song is better. Rock on CoP lovers. And thanks to everyone who helped with the family names. I'm sure to win a Disney Dollar now.
